Can you change armor without having to respawn. Let's say you you have infiltrator armor and hack a guntower. Can you immediately change to reinforced armor at the weapons terminal so that you can be in a better position to defend or are you stuck being an infiltrator until you're killed or commit suicide?
If you commit suicide, will you receive grief points? (I don't believe a dev has answered this one.)

As long as you have the proper certifications for what you choose, you can swap equipment at any time as long as you are in front of an equipment panel that your empire controls.

So, I'm guessing than you can change if hacking into an enemy equipment terminal. Because I've been assuming that was possible for a long time now.
