although, maxes could snipe, and very easily at that. Don't forget about the implants. especailly the one that lets you zoom into stuff

MAX's are quite powerful. you will need a little more than you think probably. there not impenetrable but they are vary armored.

MAXes can zoom, but they can't snipe. Bolt Driver has best range, and you can zoom in all you want, it won't help you if you can't get your shot out that far. Not to mention that a bolt driver shot will do more damage than a MAX shot.

hmmm, i would say that a flak shell would travel pretty far, since it's AA, and i bet a direct hit with one of those is pretty uber. I guess the other two empires maxes really couldn't do much for sniping though.

I think a MAX would be the target of choice for everybody, esspecially on the defense side. He's armed to the teeth, can traverse into buildings, and travels in packs. You see a group of em coming up on your base the turrets are gonna attack him, your air will take a shot at him, your armored cav types will try to light him up, and your infantry will try to shut him down. Way I see it, as soon as you stap that sumbitch on, you already got enemies.

I see people gunning for the easy targets first, actually. I know that's what I always do in FPS games...shoot the guy with the machine gun before the guy with the rocket launcher.

Spamming areas with the chain gun and rocket from the air will be wuite fun. Like strafing troops in BF1942 and watching them try to scurry away! MWAHAHAHHA
