lol this thread has me remembering about the SEGA Nomad, dude it ate battaries(4xAA) in a couple of hours.
But it played regular Genesis titles and supported a second controler i doubt i will be getting either of the new handhelds though, perhaps at a much later date

cIt seems as though Nintendo Made a cute little PDA for Children.
Seriously, its dual screen, gimicky, and uses a stylus for FPS shooting. I predict that the DS is going to fail horribly in America. It should have stayed overseas the Japaneese love this kinda stuff. The PSP and DS shoudnt be compaired because they arent even going to be the same price point. The PSP will at least retail for 100 dollars more than the DS. In terms of Visuals its like compairing the Xbox to the Dreamcast. The xbox being the PSP. yeah i'll wait to pass judgment on Graphics untill i can see it in action.
But factoring in low resolution, the need for a > 1 second battery life, and limitations on technology, i would put it at PS1.5ish graphics level, minus most of the shader and special effect stuff. And who said the stylus would be used to aim, Quoth Nintendo

Battery life on the PSP isn't so bad, it's not gonna get played more than 6 hours in a day anyway... my only worry would be the screen scratching.

Like I said, you guys are being silly, you like "WOW DUAL SCREEN WOW" except fact is, no one game announced for GB DS makes good use for the second screen, most use it as a map, which anyone can see in any console or handheld by just pressing pause which will pause the game too, so wow, no worries. so yeah... |

Handhelds suck anyway, I like to leave my gaming on my computer and in my living room
Dunno, just like to get away from games now and then. Either way, if I was to buy one I would get the PSP simply because nintendo is too kiddy for my liking. But like Rbstr said, don't listen to others listen to the reviews and such when they come out. |
