PSU link coding

I figured out that if you direct your browser to aim:goim?screenname=jagedbbs it will open up a chat box to me. I tried putting that link in my sig with the code

[*URL=aim:goim?screenname=jagedbbs][*color=white][*u]AIM: Jaged BBS[*/color][*/u][*/URL]
(remove the *'s)

It came out looking like this:AIM: Jaged BBS

Notice if you click on the link it dosent work because it has adden in an extra http:// and a /. Is there any way to get this to work?
