Mine was amazing.

It was my first time hosting Thanksgiving, 'cause I didn't want to drive from Florida to New York just to spend three days at home. My little sister had the same idea so her and her boyfriend drove down from Charlotte, NC and spent the week with us.

Me, John, my sister Patty, her boyfriend Joey and John and my friend Ashley had quite a feast. We didn't have a turkey because it's a pain and no one likes turkey anyway. So we had ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green bean cassarole, stuffing, chicken dumplings (for the southerners!), stuffed mushrooms, rolls, peas, and cranberry sauce. I think that was it.

After we gorged ourselves on dinner, we set up the fondue spread and had chocolate fondue with strawberries, grapes, angel food cake and marshmallows to dip in the chocolate, and cocoa powder, coconut, chocolate sprinkles, crushed almonds, caramel sauce and whipped cream to coat our stuff with. We enjoyed the fondue and watched "Stepford Wives".

Then Ashley went home, and the rest of us sat around, watched Charlie Brown, cleaned up, went back for leftovers, and later on we enjoyed some of Patty's cherry cheesecake.

We had a lovely time

No relatives (mostly good), Lamb instead of turkey (bad), no Football-game watching afterwards (sentimental)

I spent it with my fiance, and was very happy and thankful. Hopefully next year I can spend it with my wife and kids. That would make it better.

Sucked. My grandma is dying, so we didntwant to upset her with so many people at her house, its always been tradition to eat at her house with the rest of our large family....So we stayed home, ate a crappy turkey dinner, played EVE all night.

Yes, but for some reason my parents didnt want to go.....I have no clue why.....
I wanted to go, I got dressed and everything, then my parents came home with a turkey, they said we were eating at home this year.

I went to my aunts place in San Francisco.

There was 40 people in a 500 sq ft apartment, that was interesting, to say the least.

Saw my relatives. Boy...you guys would fucking love my family.

Upon walking in I was greeted and hugged by all my jewish relatives. They told me I got tall and ugly. . They also said that I looked alot like my father, and then proceeded to appologize profusely for insulting me like that .

Then we had turkey.

My cousin Phil and I we're hanging out and one of our relatives Pas (he's from France) pulls us into the kitchen and hands us two black mugs. He then starts making us both white russians. We are sitting there looking dumbfounded, trying to pretend we dont know what he's making us. Then he says in a thick french accent "Shut up please, I know you know what this is. You call it a 'White Russian'. Now do me a favor, drink up. If this glass isnt empty by time everyones done with their soup, no more alcohol, kapeesh?"

He wound up giving us alcohol throughout the night like it was going out of style. I tried to keep my mouth shut, but sooner or later everyone realized Phillip and I we're fucking gone. The funny thing is, this is a tradition in our family for all 16 year olds. It happened to my brother last year. It was his first time drinking. He puked up Thanksgiving in the backyard.

God damn I love my family.
