A little idea

I've got a little idea about how to make cloaking a little more "stealthy".

Instead of having them always use the empire specific pistols, how about a new cert, maybe one cert point, with infil suit as preresqusite (sp?). The cert would be for a silenced pistol. It would have a little less firepower than repeater and firerate of beamer or so.

What it would do is 1. not allow the enemy to see where the shots come from and 2. be less noisy and obvious than the other pistols.

what do you guys think?

suggested a lot, back in the day. It'll be a long time until the devs add in another piece of content as big as a new weapon, and a longer time before Infils get love.

I've always thought the Suppressor should be silenced. Right now it is "silenced", but it just makes a watergun sound, I mean actual silenced, as in the only thing you here is the bolt. Then you could remove the tracers, and the Suppressor could actually be a formidable gun (it's not that bad right now, but this would make it better)

Why are you talking about the supressor he was talking about a weapon for the infils. They can only hold pistols last time I checked. I like the idea because when im a cloaker I only use nades and dont get many kills so I dont use it.

I'm well aware of that, but the topic was about silenced weapons, and the suppressor is described as a "silenced weapon", even though it has that weird watergun noise.

i was playing my infil last night, he's certed in MA so i can get the AT pistol, if u hide behind a corner then pop your head out when your gun is charged, u can deal loads of damage without anybody noticing you

One infil buff talked about was a kind of advanced infil suit, 2 pistol slots and bigger inventory. I think some cloaker additions would rock next major change.

the theory was a utility belt for 1 cert point, people thought this up when the dev's started talking about 1 CP certs...

The scatter pistol is already pretty good as far as not seeing the tracers... just a small explosion when fired. The sound is pretty loud though, but it is still a formidable weapon.
Try that if you want something that is hard to notice

the repeater is beyond good enough for a cloaker IMO, it's so accurate you can kill people outside of Darklight range, so by the time they find the tracers and come looking for you you can move further away.
