Just resubscribed to Planetside, and first thing that hit me was the music. God i miss these tracks so much, the music was epic. I really hope in Planetside 2 they keep a similair type of music and same level of wonder and awe that PS1 had in its music

For years, I had the music turned off because it gave me an extra 3-5 fps. I do like the music though, but it wasn't very iconic so I wouldn't mind hearing something new.

I would rather they have epic music for the trailers and marketing than directly in a game like this. I found I either turned the music off like Raymac or had it very low as it was mostly distracting when trying to hear commands in teamspeak.

I love the music, but I turn it off as I need to hear ventrillo.

However I have been tempted to whack it onto my mp3 player for when I'm in the car....

This game has had a huge impact on me. I started playing in 05 when I was 10, and stopped when the reserves program ended. Whenever I hear the music i get hit by a huge wave of nostalgia. I learned how to play one of the opening themes on violin, and... I don't know how to describe the feeling i get when i hear the soundtracks. Meh, maybe I'm a loser, but if the music isn't in the game I will probably cry. The crazy melody that happens about 3/4 of the way through the main theme gives me the best memories of flying my mossie across the map seeing BFS and all the little guys running about.
