Smed: As we expand the galaxy, the tech fully supports everything being on one server.
Smed: We are really focused on exposing nearly EVERY SINGLE PIECE of gameplay data in external API, in real time. Last edited by Bags; 2011-07-13 at 05:30 PM. |

Smed: We will be pouring a lot of money into getting lots of players into it. Expect a lot of action.
T-Ray: At the end of the day, if it doesn’t work in beta and frustrates people, we’ll remove it and find a way to fix it. So if you are hearin’ something that you’re not too sure about, all bets off when it gets to beta. That’s when the rubber hits the road. We’ll find out what works and what doesn’t and make changes based off player feedback. Hold them to this T-Ray: A lot. There you go, bam. Done. We’ve got weapon customization, vehicle customization, you’ll be pleased. Instead of looking at your beamer all day… Vanu players in the house?... aww, c’mon! Come on, Vanu! Anybody? Can we get some more vanu? Thank you. Josh: Well they suck the most… T-Ray: I don’t think so. I’m a Vanu player and that’s the way it’s gonna be. Um, so yeah. We’re gonna allow people to customize a lot of things. We’ll see what we can fit in. Smed: We are going to be doing things, imagine different factions of the US navy with slightly different uniforms. The goal here is to get outfits so they look distinct, they’re still NC, and I say NC because they’re the best, but they’re still NC but they’re the “Black Warthogs” T-Ray: Smurfs. Smed: Or you’ve got the amazing… pick any outfit and we want that outfit to look different, but still look NC, or if you’re the VS purple ponies or whatever. T-Ray: I watch a lot of Swedish hockey; I was going for the Swedish hockey look for the NC. All the NC chicks will have burlap sacks over their faces. Matt: Now we have vehicle and flight mechanics that feel real due to Physx. The vehicle gameplay is what you would expect from a modern triple A fps. T-Ray: Think Planetside plus Motorstorm. Lol, I love T-ray. Last edited by Bags; 2011-07-13 at 05:50 PM. |

May i request that Bags just randomly gets one dropped from the next squrrel he kicks into the face? Hes putting quite some time into doing all those info collecting and transcripts and whatnot, and guys like him make a good community great. No one else deserves it more. :>
ps: Bags, make sure you kick enough squirrels. Use heavy boots, they fly further that way. |

Yuck! Smedly hinted at possible PvE content in the future (Around the 18:00 mark).
Can't say I'm over enthused about the idea of PvE in a game like PS. They only said they were considering it, but it worries me that they'd even go that far. Revised Grief System sounds nice. The original served its purpose but it was somewhat flawed in the sense that if you get hit by a careless vehicle driver then you are given a ton of grief for it. And for Exile (around the 43ish mark) they talk about how lag is much more tolerant in PS2 this time around. Overall, I'm confident in the team. They seem like they really care about this game and they're open to the community. Higby's apparent lurking on this site also makes me feel very warm and safe. But I think overall T-Rays deep voice reassuring me that everything will be alright and that if something doesn't work in the beta they will fix it. Of course, things don't always go according to plan but I'm not quite as worried about the game as I was a few days ago. Also, it really sucks not being able to hear what people were asking. Usually you can tell what they asked in the context of the answer they give, but sometimes I really had no clue. Last edited by Death2All; 2011-07-13 at 08:16 PM. |

Hopefully they decide against this idea. |
