No, not for Eyefinity or nVidia's offering. But something else.
Imagine Planetside 2 where you could drag content from one monitor to another. For example, you're assaulting a base and want to see how much NTUs are available. Right now you have to open up your map and click on the base you're assaulting. If my idea is supported you could drag the continent map over to another screen and keep tabs on the NTUs. Thoughts? |

I would love to be able to move my chat windows/maps etc to my second monitor. I used to run like 6 chat windows, and 3 voice progs when i got hardcore into leading things. Not sure i wanna do that again, but would be nice to atleast be able to move some things off my main screen and onto the secondary.

I want a triple-monitor, wrap-around setup for my Reaver so I can be blasting away and focused on what's ahead of me, which having peripheral awareness of everything around me at the same time.
Getting back to reality though, great idea by Sentrosi -- it would be awesome to have a second monitor constantly displaying the map, chat, and other essentials so I can quickly glance at it in the middle of a fight. Another badass reason for this setup would be the ability to Fraps or tape your "main" monitor's gameplay without having any overlays or chat boxes blocking the view, and still being able to see all that stuff on your secondary screen. -HC13 |

I really want triple monitor support (although my bank balance doesn't).
Not only for the peripheral vision (which would be awesome) but also as you mention for putting valuable information on. As a platoon leader I would want to keep an eye on the map, squad positions, mission statuses, while still trying to take out enemy tanks with my Mag. |

My own thoughts on mutli-monitor support:
1) Make their displays HTML-based so you can easily port them to pads/phones (which would be epic 2) Information only. Giving player X a wider field of view than player Y kinda sucks. Yes, more information is good, but it's not a direct combat advantage (unlike peripheral vision). 3) Comprised of several different smaller information panels. Medic panels (nearest medic, or as a medic nearby wounded/dead), squad panels (range/direction to other squad members, with information about health/shield[/consumables?]. Session stats (kill/death, top victim, top killer, resources earned, % accuracy, etc etc). Etc. The panels can each be designed to easily fit on a phone screen (swipe to move between them), while a pad or monitor could be made up of several at once. |
