BF3 Parachutes?

Has there been any comment if planetside infantry are to get BF style parachutes? I know many on the dev team are fans and take inspiration from Dice's battlefield series. Always been a fan on the fast hot drops from gals n mossies.

What does the PS community think? Keep the hotdrop splash effect or add parachutes for HALO style insertions.

Grav chutes form vehicle drops, for sure I agree with you. But what about when your in the field, jumping off one of those tall buildings/walls/towers do we just take the damage as in PS1? Guess this is where jetpacks come into play.

Eh, the dampners work from, plane, hill, cliff whater, no need for parachutes...though they are fun to shoot down.

Grav-chutes should definitely stay when jumping out of vehicles. Other than that, unless your jumping off a mountain or cliff, the armor should take the brunt of the impact and they have already stated that armor is more like a rechargeable shield now aka Halo. All other cases, try to carry a jump pack.

Battlefield's limitless ass parachutes can go jump off a cliff (and fail to deploy).

I'd like to see a dampner that you have to activate, and only works for a limited time. Insert just a little risk to falling from the sky, and a nice tactical option to not be slowly drifting downward the whole time.

im sure that by the year 2600 they would have transcended typical parachutes.
