Abbatoir IV? Butcher shop III? Meat Packing Plant II? Valdez, I?
No, wait, that last one is about a coffee-growing guy with a donkey, isn't it?

Computers. They influenced my degree and jobs.
Also Stargate SG-1 influenced me along with like every science fiction movie ever made. So many life lessons in those.

The biggest influences in my life aren't a bunch of fake characters from books, TV and movies. They aren't a bunch of Hollywood garbage-men.
The biggest influence on my life is my dad, a retired Marine. I also am inspired and influenced by people that you'll never know like Rob Carter, my best friend and Army mentor, who is no longer with us. My younger brother, also a career Marine. My grandfathers, both WW2 pilots who went on to be successful businessmen. My first platoon leader, Ranger Mark Sandefur. My first platoon leader, Ranger Joe Kushner. And it's not the military path or the martial connection, it's just where I encountered them. These people are the epitome of leadership and success and humanity. They are peerless. I read some of the replies on here, and whether they're jokey or not it's sad to me. It makes my soul hurt. |

Alton Brown, Anthony Bourdain - the two who literally inspired me into the Culinary field. Bourdain especially, Kitchen Confidential is The best book I've ever read.
Mark Twain, and John Stewart - best humorist I know of, because in all reality the best way to advocate important change is through the prodding of satire. OK, I'm giving Steven Colbert a shout out on this one too, he may be more edgy than John but he plays his character extremely well. Nirvana, Muse, 3EB - I just love their music!
