Planetside requires password change on brand new accounts?

Ok, so I just got ps1 for the first time and I am now having an issue.

Got the download ok, got my account. But every time I try and login it tells me I must change my password. (Same with on the SOE site, I can't even login because I changed my acct pass to the limit and it still wants me to change it. Which is why I am posting this here and not on their site.)

It now says I have to wait til tomorrow to change my password anymore but I'm still locked out from playing the game....... What the hell...... Not too impressed, but when has anything ever gone smoothly in videogames?

Edit: I just tried to enter a tech support ticket, and the stupid thing still asks for me to login, then tells me to change my pass, then tells me I have changed it to the limit for the day. So I can't even send SOE a ticket telling them I have a problem! WTF

I suggest trying their phone support. Sounds like a really annoying issue.

Thanks Goku. Now that I got back from work I will be doing just that if it still fails to work.

Side note, I forgot my cell at home so I couldn't check the forums to call them earlier so I could play now hahaha.

Edit: Double thanks to Goku. Buddy at SOE solved my problem in 7 minutes, and only 2 of those were on hold. Probably the best experience I've had with tech support in a long time.
