Who knows how to install a Geforce4 4600 8x into a Gateway? If you need something else on how to please tell me. Is there a differnce between a Geforce4 4600 and a geforce4 4600 8x? cause I ordered a geforce4 4600 and got the 8x one...

You'll have to check to see if your mobo supports it. Usually it's better to do this research BEFORE you actually buy the thing... lol. I also didn't know they had a 4600 8x agp... Anyway, check your mobo (call Gateway or something) or just put it in and see if it works! If it doesn't, send it back and get a 4x.

if you can avoid buying the 4600 8x they have slower performance than the 4x and thats because there is no programs that are demanding enough to use it so its just gives you reduced performance ,a real waste untill doom3 comes out ,oh and unreal2 it will work better with unreal 2

I highly doubt that 8x would make it any slower... It shouldn't have any problems running at 4x at all.
