No way thats pumping a shottie. The hand is nearly in a fist sideways on the side of the weapon.

Then again, comparing to older screenshots, the cocking handle of Gauss isnt that much towards the barrel end. Perhaps it's just some part of the animation where the hand is just moving from place A to B.
