Uhh, guys...

Gigex doesn't use spyware, at least not if you use it right.
I've used Gigex before(esp. when I was on 56k) and I never had any spyware on my system.

Um, i downloaded fine, but it doesn't seem to run very well. Its basically running so slow that i get about 1 frame every 6 seconds or so. Anyone else having the same problem? I'm not running any other applications in the background and all my other QT movies are running fine.

Bah. The power reactor is just a few polygons with an animating texture on 'em. I could do something similar in Half-Life. And I've hardly ever mapped before.

That thing needs particle effects and lasers 'n a nice few shiny point-based lights flying through the 'tube'.

As far as having problems playing the file (the 1 frame every six seconds) try rebooting (I just got that after getting home from work after my computer had been on all day, when I downloaded and watched the file this morning), and if that doesn't work just rewind and hit play a few times, it should clear up eventually.

And Gigex is -not- spyware. They're just trying to cut costs by controlling the bandwidth you use. If too many people are downloading, the start cutting the bandwidth. On top of that, it's a download manager for those n00bs that don't have a download manager. Stop freaking out about non-existent spyware and just download it.
