I threw together a VR setup based on some commercial products you can buy right now. So whats the first game I play? Planetside VR of course.
Want to make this? Products * HMZ-T1 : ~ 800$ * PS Move + PS Navigator + PS Gun (you can buy this combo at a sony store or online for like 75$) * ASUS Bluetooth Dongle/Adapter - usually around 20$ Software: * Motion In Joy - enables you to pair the playstation controllers to your PC * My PS Move to mouse executable (I'll post this up later) Instructions 1. Install the MiJ driver to your bluetooth adapter (see MiJ website for details) 2. Then plug in each PS controller to a usb port of your PC and hit the PS button on them. 3. Now disconnect the PS controllers and hit the PS button. They should connect. 4. Run the PS Move to mouse executable (you know effectively have a gyromouse) 5. Configure your controllers in MiJ any way you want via the profiles. 6. Ready to roll. BONUS CREDIT: Wireless rjyap1 from youtube, has a great guide up on how to make this wireless but the short and sweet is.... Products: * Mobile charger/battery pack. * Wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver Instructions: 1. Power the HMZ-T1 and wireless HDMI receiver from the inverter. 2. Mount these onto a vest or backpack. 3. Go to town. Last edited by Eerie; 2012-03-24 at 03:01 PM. |

Nice setup! I never thought anyone would attempt this on PS. I haven't seen used on any PC game tbh.

That is pretty darn cool! I thought I spotted a touch of lag though so while this would definitely work for PS it probably would fare poorly in BF or CoD. Surprised that vehicles handle well with it as it would seem that you would constantly over compensate when you want to make quick turns.
