Gentlemen,
Warpgates are huge indeed, and inside the bubble all weapons are safed. So you can use a warpgate bubble as a rally point for defeated troops or assault forces prior to advancing into a new continent. Each warpgate will go to only one continent. Each continent as 4 warpgates except for Searhus which has three, and the Sanctuaries which also have three. The arrangement of warpgates actually makes an easily understandable diagram of two nested hexagons. Warpgate lock can be accomplished by conquering all the facilities on a continent and this has apparently been made easier by lowering the number of facilities to 9 or 10. Warpgate lock means that all warpgates become the property of that particular empire and enemy forces cannot use the warpgates to enter the locked continent, although they _can_ use them to exit the continent. Warpgate lock can be accomplished without conquering all of the gun, watch, and vehicle towers. Some of those same towers, of course, could be used as rally points by enemy droppod forces in an attempt to "unlock" the continent. |
