Guys this is an overlay of the cockpits I have, now don't take the look of them to be 100% perfect, as you all know the quality of the originals.
But it will give you a good idea of the overall difference of them. My views are the: VS has more view, but is obstructed the most/worst. NC Has a better split of the view from the 3 segments. TR has a wider frontal view but less on the smaller segments. Just my views! Notice the consoles I think should be equal levels, but the distortion in these images could be causing them to seem smaller from front to back. I could be wrong though. Morto. PS, click image for full screen! <3 Edit and PSS. I also love the designs. As it will give each fighter a slightly different angle of attack and different blind spots. And the other two ES ones have better side and ground views. I wouldn't call them distracting either, obstructive sure but I'm confident I could put up with that. I'd probably have less problems with those then with limited ground visibility.

Another thing, you are going to be constantly moving in an aircraft.
If these were static windows in a base then sure the FOV matters a good amount but when your constantly moving I think any minor difference in FOV is such a minor difference it won't even matter. Honestly I think this stuff isn't even going to make more than a .5% difference, if your a better pilot your going to win IDC what cockpit your using that stuff will barely even matter. Point is you can still see well with any of those designs and your view is always moving and things shifting in and out of view, a thin bar isnt going to conceal something for more than a fraction of a fraction of a second while your moving. (and yes I meant to say a fraction of a fraction)

I'll have to test all three to pass final judgement, but it really doesn't look like it will give any of them a distinct advantage/disadvantage. They are all relatively small obstructions, and aircraft are generally moving around quite a bit.
Seems very Empire Specific, in the sense that certain aircraft will have a better view in certain situations. It just don't seem to me like it will be that huge a difference. If I were to call it right now though, I would say the Scythe has the best view and the Mosquito has the worst. |

The picture does look a little brighter than it should be! I love the look of the instruments. If I don't feel like playing then I might just sit at warp bubble in the scythe and appreciate it's beauty |

looks lovely cant wait to fly around and stab TR and NC with the front end or at least try to and end up stabbing a tree.
