Im sorry folks as I know there is a lot of new content, but I would just like to say and this is before I watch TB's new video as I feel this is more important.
The sound designer at SOE and whoever else is responsible for the flight sounds in the new SOE video need a fucking big round of applause, because not only did the stunning graphics and the incredible flight mechanics (well done NVidia) get me so fucking wet............ BUT THE SOUNDS JUST BLEW MY MIND!!! Amazing and thank you to all for making what is about to be the worlds most loved FPS MMO. Really hope the beep-beep of the Stryker comes back. One of my most memorable moments in Planetside was while we were in the caves and this Reaver comes in and is harrassing us. Then one of the squadmates gets on the comms and says "I got him *beep-beep-beepbeepbeep*" You could hear him locking on, it was beautiful. |

When the liberator was flying around, I think I made a mess in my pants.
I love how the stuff is sounding, and I'm not even sure if some of the sounds are placeholder or final. Either way, it's given me confidence that the sound in the game will be as awesome as the graphics. I love a game that has distinctive sounds. I want to hear a split second of a sound effect and immediately know what is making it. Can't wait to hear more. |

Hey everyone! Thanks for all the great feedback and comments. We are chugging along and are glad to receive such great responses on the audio. It certainly has been a challenge to keep up with the dev team on the quality (and quantity) of material to work on. That said, our goal is to make a sick game and bring some sick audio to the table. The vids that have been out in the last week have just touched the surface and I can't wait for you all to hear more (especially without voice over or music masking it). A lot of credit does have to go to the Audio Director on this, he is responsible for the vehicles (at least in the latest vids).
