Assault style base captures

The domination style capture method is cool I am not suggesting getting rid of them. But like said often there will be multiple ways to take different bases.
I would like to see a base capture system where there is a dedicated CC like in planetside 1. But in order to take it you must capture a string of other capture points, as you take these capture points things in the base will happen to make defending slightly harder (not near impossible like a generator drop, just harder)
For example say we have A B C D and E, A is in the biggest building and is designed to be easier (not easy just easier) to defend if the other control points are not captured.
E is somewhere outside the bases perimeter and is easily taken but will have little effect on how the base functions but will still cause something for the defenders to work less than optimal. C and D will be in various buildings inside the base perimeter and have larger effects on how well the base is able to be defended. B is also in one of the various buildings but B is the key to getting access to A. E D and C are optional but will make attacking A a lot easier.
But B grants you access to A, A will be easier defended if C D E are not taken, but harder to defend if they are lost. They can be taken back at will if you are man enough to do so, but taking them back should take longer for defenders. Allows defenders to re secure everything if done well, but doesn't allow them to be sneakily re secured while the main forces are hitting A.
I feel this mimics a base assault and allows flexibility at the same time. You can have a force hitting A the whole time if you are strong enough and send a small squad to take B totally ignoring C D E.
As i type all of this out it fondly reminds me of return to castle wolfenstein though many other games. Though it wasn't as flexible there, in RTCW you had maps where you had to Escort/Defend a tank to blow up a wall of a base, then assault the base to steal some gold, then take the gold and put it on a truck, then escort the truck out of there. Defiantly not saying to do a style described in this paragraph cause that's all scripted map objectives. Just nostalgically thinking out loud.
Thoughts? I feel this will be flexible enough for different tactics while ensuring the hours long base assaults we all loved in the first one are back. Thanks for positive and negative feedback.
