Well there's the kicker of it, you know? Some streams have zero fan interaction, but that wasn't really the idea I had in mind with the whole deal. Even if I had 0 delay on a stream, would stream sniping REALLY occur? And if it only starts to occur after I've been running the stream for a long time, can't I just know at that point who comes to watch me consistently and honestly, and who's just there to spy? Maybe I'll just have to show people recorded footage instead. Something I just have to think about.

I don't know that they'll ever want to put in-game spectating to Planetside 2. I imagine a "If you're in the game, PLAY IT" mentality would be adopted in that regard.

I would not mind spectating your FRIENDS through the webpage.
That would be a butt load of awesome.
I don't agree with free roam, streamers are already going to have people try to stream snipe for whatever reason.

StreamSniping happens the moment you tell people about your stream.

I have the personnel pay xsplit but it tells me in order to use the delay server upgrade to premium and i can delay for up to 3 mins.

maybe tho once a person does go premium it goes higher than 3 mins.. could be a an standard prompt graphic they never upgraded etc.

I thought streaming services had their own delays as well you could set? It's been awhile since I've done it.

I think you can request a delay service once you're already partnered with twitch. Otherwise it's all through software on your end.

hmm
If you love gaming as much as we do, and you think you have what it takes, we’d be happy to welcome you to the exclusive TwitchTV partner program.
Requirements:

To qualify as a TwitchTV Partner, you must meet...
BOTH of the following requirements:

Views per month: 30,000+ I have 751 views total
Average concurrent viewers: 300+ maybe 1.25

Or EITHER of the following requirements:

Views per month: 100,000+
Average concurrent viewers: 400+

These requirements are general guidelines. Exceptions are handled on a case by case basis at TwitchTV's discretion.
For newcomers to live-streaming

Aspiring TwitchTV partners who have not yet streamed live content are also encouraged to apply. Simply meet the following criteria with regard to pre-recorded content (using YouTube as an example):

Average views per video: 15,000+ 2,608 getting closer!
Subscribers: 100,000+ 20 d'oh!

Those are very loose guidelines and it depends on the game. People in TA got partnered no problem with 1-200 follows and ~10k total views, and like they say off-site content can help too (website hits, youtube views, twitter followers, etc). This is probably why most outfits are using a centralized channel right now, a way of sort of powerleveling your way to partnership.

Those guidelines they list probably are more geared towards games like SC2, D3, LoL, etc

stream snipers are a huge problem with anyone who has viewers, see it in pretty much every type of game. I think SOE could address this with some sort of censor option for the player that hides information such as names, outfits, and map information.

people will stream, SOE needs to protect the players on the server from stream snipers who will take that information and use it against the faction.

Maybe just spectating your squad buddies when you die?

I think for the SOE approved it would be TB or someone.

I like the way AT does there streaming it has a 10 minute delay on it so theres a harder time of spying or stream sniping
