Make it a three light system, so you can tell what's lit by the position. Traffic lights don't confuse colour blind people (like me) when they're sat waiting at them.

Full support of this idea, spot on.

1 - There should be no yellow light sound, this would cause confusion especially among new players who would take it as a drop signal.

2 - The eject everyone with a button, as you said, can be used for massive griefing so I don't think that's a good idea.

Otherwise, great!

already doable with vent, and really if you want this level of coordination, you need an outfit on comms.

This would be a neat feature, although the fact that we will already have VOIP render it largely moot. It would still be a benefit for the mic deprived among us though, and it would look nice.

It sounds like a good Idea imo. I wouldn't mind seeing it in game.

Thanks for pointing that out. A three light system element should not be too difficult to add to the players HUD when inside the Galaxy. The addition of the buzzer signal on the green light should also help.

As I clearly explained in the opening statement of my OP, this is to be considered a helpful complement to VoIP and something which may increase the feel and immersion of the Galaxy drops.

So it would seem you either did not properly read/understand the OP...or (as visuals are hardly necessary to illustrate such simple a point) you merely took the opportunity to shamelessly plug a specific Outfit with that video.

Nevertheless, thanks for your input.

Again...as I stated in the OP, this is to be viewed as a complement to VoIP.

The implementation of small details for the sole purpose of adding feel and immersion to the game could be argued as being a valid reason in itself.

However, even if you consider this to be completely redundant from an immersion perspective, the fact that it could help properly synchronizing Galaxy drops whenever mics may not be available (for whatever reason) would alone be enough to motivate its existence IMO.

I'd love to have a green light for Gal drops. It's one of those simple solutions that would take a lot of the hassle out with getting people to drop as a unit.

I guess I'm skimming a little too lightly these days, I do seem to have pretty much parroted you. Too many posts to keep up with. Ah well, I mostly just didn't want point's self-aggrandizement to be the last word in the thread.

You have my vote.

Very nice idea. It's simple and easy and every little bit of immersion helps!
