I've read a few unverified comments here and on reddit that said you need to have been a paying subscriber to Planetside1 by April 2012 to be considered a veteran. Would someone please give me a link to an interview, forum comment or tweet specifying which date a subscribed Planetside1 player needed to have to be considered a veteran and thereby eligible to receive a priority beta invite please?
We have several people in our Outfit who have started playing with us after April 2012 and I'd like to clear up any contusion regarding beta keys. Thank you. |

That means the years of playing is a complete waste and people are if not already gonna be buying their ways into veteran status. lame Best way to confirm Veteran status is use the actual activation date when their planetside account was activated. Don't see how a subscription confirms veteran status at all. Last edited by somerandomguy; 2012-07-16 at 07:24 PM. |

There was an official cut off date that was sometime earlier this year. I want to say, April or May? I can't find the exact quote but I remember reading it (I know that doesn't help much) but if you've had an account before April or May this year you're considered a Vet.

"That means the years of playing is a complete waste and people are if not already gonna be buying their ways into veteran status.
lame" Wait hold up, you're suggesting that all your years spent on Planetside was to achieve veteran status on Planetside 2?. Being a veteran should be a small bonus in Planetside 2, nothing more or less. Also, so what if people have only started playing recently?, just because they didn't start playing years ago doesn't mean they should be withheld from being a veteran, after all to be a veteran all you need to do is participate in a certain event for a small period of time. I understand you're concern that it might seem unfair to let people who have only started playing recently to be considered a veteran, but in my opinion the more vet's I see in PS2 the better. Noun: A person who has had long experience in a particular field, esp. military service: "a veteran of two world wars". ok. |

Anyway being a "veteran" grants you a priority to getting into beta. Its not that you will get in right away, but you have a better chance verse someone who say just yesterday signed up for beta w/o any kind of key.

Instead of arguing about status or other stupid entitlement crap... Can we get an answer to the question? Does anyone have a link to any official source as to when veteran status/priority access ends?
