I`ll admit for me the news about PS 2 has been a rollercoaster. Ups and downs, its going to be great!/ ah thats not so good.... almost continuous emotions with every screenie/info we have got over the last year really.
But these recent video`s have me thinking this is going to be pretty damn amazing altho there`s one thing missing in the recent gameplay which is absolutely VITAL to Planetside imo... `INCOMING MAX UNITS!` I heard Higby say they are currently working on these. But i thought wouldn`t it be beyond awesome if they had a little competition to see who could come up with the best voice macro and that could be included into the game ?? With the winner being able to hear his success for years.. (and also get annoyed when enemies do it to him!) the rewards are there for the passionate PS playerbase to come up with a catchy memorable messege to shout around auraxis. How many would be up for this ?? Would the devs be up for this ?? |

I always found the voice macros in PS1 lacking... I would've rather had choices such as:
"Look out friends, that guy we killed in the Scatmax is back in his Falcon!" to be followed with "Oh $%£! He's back in the Sparrow! Has anybody got any Deci's left?" or "Help, I'm being chased by a Russian hacker that I've appealed 15 times!" or "Don't go round that corner, they're ALL throwing plasma..." and "Of COURSE, we're fighting in a hacked Tech Plant so I've now got to try and resecure in my Jammies because no one at SOE could work out why this stupid bug happens". Although that last one might've been a bit of a mouthful. |

This would be really fun.
Though they could also host a contest for who's the best voice actor and the winner would get to do alot of the lines, but that would take so much time so it's not really viable, though I like your idea definetely! |

The best Taunts and voice Marcos I have heard comes from the game Blacklight retribution.
If we can even get a margin of how cool those are in Planetside 2, I will give the devs all my money forever. Also I'm sure I heard somewhere that voices will be activated if you are under fire or reloading. [citation needed] I JUST WANT MAH TAUNTS Last edited by Hydra; 2012-07-19 at 04:33 PM. |

Voice macros for every situation would be great, but variety among such is just as important.
Take MAX units for example: "Incoming MAX units!" "Approaching MAX units!" "MAX units inbound!" "Advancing MAX units!" "MAX units on approach!" "Enemy Max units heading in!" "MAX units on a push!" "Enemy MAXes making a push!" "MAX units pressing forward!" "Enemy MAX units coming!" "MAX units coming our way!" "MAX units closing in!" "Ingressing MAX units!" "MAAAAAAAAX!" "Enemy MAAAAAAAX!" "MAAAAAAAX UUUNIIIIITSSS!" "MAX units spotted!" "Visual on enemy MAX units!" "Eyes on enemy MAX units!" "We got enemy MAXes!" "Enemy has MAX support!" "There are MAXes out there!" Etcetera. This kind of variety on the store (to flesh out the variety of macros I could choose for my character to randomly speak) would make my wallet a thin and sickly beast. |
