Certifications may be traded back in for cert points - i.e. they can be switched around, BUT it takes 24 hours of real time (not game time) per cert before u get the points back. The idea behind this is that u can switch your certs around in order to prepare for an upcoming battle in which u want to be a pilot etc, but u cannot simply change your certs on the fly while a battle is ongoing.
As for implants, I think 3 is the maximum, and they can be switched around with no time penalty whenever you are at an implant terminal in a facility or your empire sanctuary. As far as I know, this information is true at time of posting, but of course tweaking is in progress, so nothing is finalised yet.

And I don think its too long, any shorter and you kinda defeat the point of specialising classes. I dont think you should be able to change them AT ALL, but thats just my opinion. That view would probably piss off the hardcore FPSer who just wants to frag and be done with it.

Some folks, myself included, favor even longer intervals. If a long-term investment in the game is really intended I could see 48, 72 or more hours as the buyback time per cert.

Does it work like you can remove a cert and then in 24 hours you get your points back or do you keep your original cert till the 24 hours is up and then the change is made from certs to points.
I was under the impression it worked the first way but my friend had the idea of the second way as it isn't specified on the site whether you lose your first cert at the beginning of the 24 hours or the end. |
