As much as it annoys me to get sniped by TR snipers, I can't claim that it's just outrageously op like the bolt driver. It looks like a very good weapon for mid-range sniping.
I wish I could say the same for the VS sniper rifle. |

TR sniper is easily the best. Headshots from BD are kind of annoying, but I think that means you need to move around more.
If I'd make changes I'd do this: #Decrease maximum ROF, but decrease random shot deviation bloom when scoped. Makes it more viable for longer range, but decreases its spammability. #Decrease clipsize to 6, but keep total ammo the same. Right now, the pure DPS output of the gun is ridiculous, I can take down spawns in a mere matter of seconds. |

I wouldn't change the RoF, recoil, or bloom. As it stands, the potential RoF is faster than the return to pre-recoil position, which means that if the sniper is chirping them in as fast as he or she can, the gun isn't pointing where he or she wants it to. This is an opportunity for disciplined shooters to shine, and I'd like to see it kept.
Magazine size reduction makes sense. You can really wreck a MAX's day when you get the drop on them up close, and I'm not sure that's how the class balance is supposed to swing. Anyone else though, yeah - nite nite. edit: Why in Crom's name is s-h-i-n-e a bad word? Last edited by Ghryphen; 2012-09-13 at 05:32 PM. |

"Move more" is not an answer to the completely broken balance on the sniper rifles. |

The NC only play infil. there because it's a fantastic farm. Wide open lanes of fire, perfect defilade, and you can hide a dozen Gals only a few meters away.
I'd offer that, should you find yourself defending a building in a valley, surrounded by ridgelines, without air superiority, you've just entered Farmville. It's time to cash out. The NC bolt driver may suck, but that's not what was tits up about your situation. I hate that road north of Allatum as much as the next guy. Holding the ridges is more important than holding the actual base. I also think TR has the better rifle. There's a lot more to life and death than alpha.
