Question Will you be able to Kamikaze in the 1-man crafts??

One of my favorite things to do in any game w/ vehicles like this (namely BF and Tribes 2) is use my one-man craft as a kamikaze vehicle. That is, drive it full on into a pack of enemies or and enemy vehicle with the purpose of inflicting great damage or destruction at the cost of my own life.

It's so frustrating to me when there isn't much damage done by purposefully crashing your vehicle. EG in BF, it sucks that you don't nearly destroy an enemy tank by runing a jeep into it.

I hope that this game will give me the opportunity to take one for the team by flying my Mosquito or my reaver into a bank of MAX armors or an enemy tank. Dying with honor and courage rules.

i think i remember them saying that kamakazis wouldnt be effective with skeeters reavers or galaxies. but they also said that a fully charged ant makes a really big boom, so maybe some bombing of a loaded ant from a galaxy would work.

omg that would be so freaking cool, that'd be like a nuke lol! can you really put an ant into a galaxy cargo bay? that would be freaking awesome, i would love to drive a fully loaded ant out of the galaxy bay at highspeed over an enemy convoy or base

yeah, itll fit... kinda ironic though, the other team would have to shoot u to kill themselves..... but again, its praticalness is all speculation

ohyeah, ant has none of this highspeed u speak off... it would be a slow creeping death

To me you seem a bit odd, But hey if that's what you are in the game for, That is your choice ( <3 ) Anyway to answer your frustration about driving a jeep into an enemy tank, is that The jeep is less armored than the tank so It does create damage to the jeep, but if They are both full AP than yes the jeep will start to smoke and then blow.

It's been stated by the devs that once you exit a vehicle it's physics turn off. Such as, once you exit a reaver on a course to ram an AMS, the reaver would not continue on its path, instead it would just drop like you. I doubt you will be able to kamikaze and still live through it.

Edit:
Oops, just realized you said you wanted to die, then, by all means, go for it.

Probably wouldn't have to "run" exactly.

Anyways, yeah. I had the mental image of a ANT zooming over a hill and blasting into a wall of enemy MAX Armors, Tanks, etc. Then someone said they don't go fast and I was like, oh yeah. So I had the picture of it inching over the hill and slowly rolling into a MAX only to go "Thud" then them shooting out the driver, hacking the ANT and recharging their base with it.

ANTs aren't exactly terribly fast or durable vehicles. You're going to have trouble getting close enough to people to get them caught in the blast radius.

As for the entire idea of suicide killing, it's an extremely skill-devoid way of inflicting casualties on the enemy, so it doesn't work very well at all.

when i said drop it out of a galaxy i ment right over a base, it wouldnt have to drive anywhere if u get good at aiming. all it would have to worry about is it making it to the ground before gettin blown to hell

Vehicles have Kinetic Dampeners, so I don't think it would blow up. At least, I believe they have kinetic dampeners after that one screenshot of a ANT? being dropped from a Galaxy on a Warpgate.

yeah, there's the irony of the plan, they'd bring the pain on themselves by shooting it.

How stupid do you think people are? After maybe the first or second time of blowing themselves up by shooting it, they'd make sure they move back before doing anything. That aside, something tells me the explosion isn't as big as you'd like it to be.
