I can't play the game on full 1080p on my laptop so I have to settle at 1440*900.
Problem is the HUD size is a bit large obstructuve and I'd like to reduce it in size. I prefer playing with HUD than without, but it is kind of big. |

You can actually go back to 1080p and use the "Render Quality" percentage slider to achieve the same thing. For that change, you can try 65-70% to get about the same thing.

Good question, my desktop runs the game like a champ on High-Ultra settings but my 4 year old laptop with a 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo, 2 GB Ram and a 8600 GT struggles to maintain 10-15 FPS at the lowest settings. Changing the render quality did nothing for me.
