How did you manage that first shot? I ask because I would like to record some stuff with the hud off, but my gun gets in the way... lol

You mean the timelapse thing? back in beta there was a way to remove your weapon etc. sadly they fixed this upon release. This was done with some clever use of a flash. Disable hud, Get on the flash, look up. Voila. Only way I know of to currently still get a weaponless view though=(
