TR pea shooting pieces of dung.
rep tool doesnt work on mosquito half the time. Can't see VS at night. the majority of the people that kill you have a scat-max or gauss saw. your trac-5 S. loses to everything. Grenade launcher. don't bother unless your perched on top of a bio lab. but it's the only weapon that you can match the kill speed of the enemy, so grenade launcher everywhere i go it is. Have to take out a second mortgage to get access to an alternative rifle instead of the bb-guns you start out with. every other person is probably using ESP or an Aim-bot. damn why did i just buy a 3-month subscription. Hopefully it'll be more enjoyable then, and ill consider subbing up again. oh yeah, and nerf the trees. |

Welcome to PS2
It is a challanging game and Im sure if you hang in there long enough, it will get better. For the most part, the stock weapons are fine. Scatter Maxs are monsters and the Guass Saw is deadly. All I can suggest is you concentrate on one class and gear it up with armour and add ons, like sights.Med kits never go astray. Yes, its frustrating but once you get the hang of it and find your niche, the game is a hoot. There are hackers and aim bots out there but there is a ton of very good players too... |

i am TR, and let me tell you something.... apart from the subscription (i am F2P ), I HAVE NOT HAVE HARDLY ANY OF THOSE PROBLEMS.
the TR guns are excellent, learn how to aim. the guns ain't the strongest, but they have the most ammo and are the fastest. yes, i would like them to fix the repairing a little, but you have to get up close, repairing does work.... and i haven't had any problems repairing a mossie. i dont really have any problems with seeing VS, but it is general knowledge; if it is night you know what you are getting yourself into. NIGHT. cert into night vision scopes for your guns, for the standard LA gun etc it is only 30 easy certs. either that, or don't play at night. erm no... i haven't hardly been killed by them, unless i run into them. if you see them, run away, or use guerilla tactics ;D the gun, hell, all the guns are excellent, once again, learn how to aim, learn how to use cover, and if you are LA USE THE JETPACK. i haven't got the grenade launcher yet, so i can't comment. dude, don't spend money on it yet. yes, the guns are god damn expensive, but some guns are only like 100 certs (like the M-77B sniper or whatever it is called). once again, the guns are great, you just suck and need to adjust to the game. and BTW, some guns have alternate fire modes, for example the standard LA gun has an alternate fire mode, press "b" to cycle through them. so if you want a single shot weapon, there ya go. i believe that i have only experienced 2 hackers throughout my 35 or so hours of playing, and they were quickly dealt with anyway. trees are fine /rant so, yeah, sorry for being hostile, but it is true. adapt to survive. |

Sorry dude but I have to disagree with you, I think you just had a bad day, TR weapons are nasty. Hear are some things you may need to do:
1. By a mouse with the sensitivity buttons built in. (helped me out alot) 2. Learn to aim, they will be having the training area patch soon. (It looks down the scope and fires its weapon) 3. Stay away from the crown zerg, this is a very hostile place, and chaotic. 4. Work in teams, you will see that someone having your back is a good thing and expands life exspectacy. 5. The repair guns work fine, this is the first time I heard someone complain about them. Work on some of these things and I think you will see your skills grow. FYI I do agree with you on one thing, the Tree's are over powered, they should balance them out a little, or I should learn to fly. Last edited by Qwan; 2013-02-25 at 07:17 AM. |

Agree that PS2 can be a bit daunting to newcomers, but if you persist, Lex, you will find it hugely rewarding.
TR weapons have the highest DPS and lowish recoil. The recoil is low but pattern is consistent upwards and sometimes to the right, so you do have to compensate by shifting your aim or burst firing as the effects of recoil are cumulative. Practice makes perfect. The GL problems you are experiencing may be due to the fact that the projectile has to travel 10 metres or so before it arms. So it's pretty useless at close range (although I believe a direct hit still does damage; not sure, I don't use it). Edit - try it out from the flight pads of a Watchtower (preferably The Crown when under attack), the height advantage + Area of Effect should allow you to cause mayhem. The starting guns are just fine, generally. If you want a TR bolt action sniper to one shot headshot people, then you'll have to spend money though. If you're new to the game, I would take things easy for a while. Stick with others and hang back a bit; concentrate on staying alive until you learn the ropes. Squads can be fine but if the leader is too "gung ho" you'll die a lot and achieve nothing. I've come across very few hackers or glitchers. If you are sure that someone is up to no good, report them. GL is still bugged, even have duds well beyond the 10m arming range. Fire down from towers and see the grenade bouncey ball around alot hehe Just wish it insta deathed anything it happened to bounce into and we could start a new sport of PSball. Sphere of Annhilation ftw!! |
