What the hell are the Bearsnakes? The Bearsnakes are a tactical infantry outfit based in the game Planetside 2. We are based on the server Waterson and fight to unite all mankind under the iron fist of the Terran Republic. Our Mandate: BRSN is a tactically minded outfit that concentrates on teamwork and positive reinforcement as the primary means to accomplish objectives. Our officers are friendly, and the outfit environment is one of comradeship, with players joining the outfit as both a community and team member. During normal hours we are relaxed and enjoy messing around, but once an operation is called, the command structure takes over and members are expected to conduct themselves in a fashion befitting a good team player. It is our goal to bring a more organized cohesive style of war to Auraxis, through our own example..and the example of those dead at our feet. Why Join the Bearsnakes? The Bearsnakes are the Jaeger Terran Republics finest shock infantry renowned for our fast mobilization, and teamwork ethic. 1. Speed: The average BRSN squad can redeploy, change loadouts and be mounted in a galaxy within 45 seconds. Our assault team manages it in 20 seconds. Our entire platoon can be up in the air in less then one minute. 2. Planetside 2 on a strategic level: We will send out scouts to mark and track large offensive pushes. This real time information combined with our fast response allows for interesting tactics, such as ambushing armor columns while they are spread out.. and weak. 3. Organized squad tactics: BRSN infantry run their loadouts based on squad utility/urban warfare tactics to better improve their effectiveness in the field. This includes standard issue use of flak armor, engineers that are frequently equipped with smoke launchers, infiltrators with EMP grenades, Light assaults that flank to use flashbangs, Medics equipped with cycler TRVs and heal 6 and heavies with concussive grenades, resist shields and annihilator missile launchers. 4. An effective combined arms approach: BRSN makes use of armored prowler 'phalanxes' and ESF 'wolfpacks' to support our infantry units, each practiced in working in tandem as a team. 5. Regular practice/bootcamp sessions: BRSN trains its infantry to operate as a team, room clearing together, and assaulting positions using fire teams lead by our picked sergeants as well as providing more basic tutorials for players new to Planetside 2. 6. Ability to operate without AMS support: BRSN relies on our medics and spawning beacons as the primary means to advance the front, NOT sunderers! for this reason we often operate exclusively as drop infantry. 7. A friendly and cooperative atmosphere: Our leaders rely on a positive reinforcement model and constructive criticism to improve the quality of our outfit. We are playing to have fun, not be drill sergeants! 8. A strong leadership presence: BRSN takes any player that is willing to measure up to our teamwork ethic. We delegate authority and build an outfit of leaders, not followers! Be a part of a crack outfit that is continuing to grow and is always changing. Make a difference in the eternal war on Auraxis. How to sign up: 1. Applicants are directed to watch the short video showing our outfit in action. 2. Applicants are asked to sign up on the website (http://bearsnakes.enjin.com/recruitment) and complete an application. 3. Applicants are asked to join our Teamspeak server and seek an interview with an officer. This is to determine if you are capable of using Teamspeak, one of our mandatory requirements, as well a way to introduce yourself to the outfit. If you do not have a microphone, the conversation will be conducted in text, although a microphone is heavily encouraged. 4. Applicants are invited to the outfit and given the rank of recruit, a probationary rank that will be removed after they complete a mandatory training session. 5. Recruits attend one of the standard bi-weekly bootcamp sessions on a given date, which is usually given via the steampage The Terran Republic Bearsnakes or website. 6. Upon successful completion of two of the boot camp sessions, the recruit will be promoted to private, and be able to apply to one of the divisions within the outfit, such as air, armor, or specialist infantry units. 7. Privates will also have the option to enroll in leadership training modules to earn the chance to lead as a probationary sergeant. Rawr Hiss, and Good hunting.
