Medic = NC
Infiltrator = NC - sad but true, it hands down the best looking armor IMO. Engineer = VS - all it needs is a little more purple LA = VS HA = NC - Kinda has an Imperial guardsman feel. MAX = Predicting VS Also: Tank = VS - I love the look of the steep slopes, looks like it would ricochet like a boss! AirCav = VS - needs no explanation ES Rifle = VS - I love the look of the new pulsar, looks more refined. ES pistol = VS - Beamer > everything else ES AV = VS? - Like the fision, want my lancer. Wholistically, I'd have to say the best looking models so far are...
TR HA, VS LA, NC Inf... and I cant decide which of those I like the best... and I dont dislike anything, just a piece here, and a piece there... However, the MagRider / Scythe combo is just PS2s version of big boobs...

http://en.planetside2.eu/forum/gener....html#p6000256 NC is worthless, TR is so-so, Vanu is the best Well, I remember I played in the beginning w/o spending any certs, just grinding the infiltrator w/o buying any scope even, and w/o any idea how much time I was wasting, as opposed to now, when I switched to engineer mostly, where I grind xp much faster. With infiltrator only twice in a 2-3 weeks of play did I manage to be in a situation where almost every shot was a headshot, making incredible k/d. In any other situation I would've been better off with engineer. So, until you get a SMG with infiltrator, it's pretty much a sniper, which is terrible at close range Also, the sniper scenario works best on situations where the enemy comes off a sunderer in an assault and bunk on top of a hill (carefull, that means snipers on their side) Light assault and medic in biolabs and other places where armor can't reach Heavy assault also, but against armor you're better off with light assault or engineer with antivehicle turret Max is sluggish and NC weapons suck, which comes down to the point: NC planes suck because they are easiest to hit, TR and Vanu being harder to hit and even see because of shape, especially Vanu NC tanks suck because of the same reason, TR tank shoots twice I saw, which means they can line better the second shot if the first misses and improve their accuracy overall, Vanu can strafe and sprint and it's shape makes it hard to hit Vany Max weapons are the best, even TR weapons are better than NC, and I refer to anti-infantry weapons of course NC infiltrator has no advantage over the other empires, so congrats to me making the worse choice again, but since I can't transfer my certs to another empire AFAIK, this is it... What advantage does NC have? It's like playing with a handicap. NC is not even the denser population, which makes it lose often in alerts They say NC has the better weapons, with more drop off and bigger cone or something, but I really don't see the difference when I lose as a Max to an infiltrator who runs circles around me because I can't hit it with the buckshot, unlike the Vanu gattling gun or whatever who can just go in all guns blazing. Again, terrible, terrible game balance. If I would start again, which I won't, I'ld just quit at some point because of game balance, I would pick vanu, because its vehicles are toughest to hit while packing almost the same punch as the others, it's max is the best, and it's infiltrator shoots quickest, which matters because it's still a one shot headshot gameplay EDIT: Also NC tanks got nerfed today, and they were underpowered as they were. I was losing to any other heavy tank 1 on 1, if I didn't have the element of surprise NC is worthless, TR is so-so, Vanu is the best |

i think the empire benefits are unbalanced.
in a game where you can´t take more than 3 bullets of almost any weapon, certain weaponstats are more important than others. the nc got more damage, which is an unimportant bonus if heavy recoil is the downside. terrans and vs are more likely to place a second or third bullet, so the bonus of more power for a single bullet is worthless. but i think the problem is not that the boni are imbalanced, but the fast ttk or the generally very high damage of all the weapons! the more damage bonus per shot can only kick in when the per bullet damage matters. if the first or second shot would kill you anyhow, more damage does no good. but if every weapons damage would be cut to half, the bonus would make a difference and actually do some benefit.

There was absolutely no reason to necro this thread. I am going to do the only thing one can do when faced with a necromancer... Well, besides calling in the Ordo Hereticus.
