I would say camo's in this game have limited effect, besides at night, as there's not too much plant life to hide in on current continents. Also, in the massive scale meat grinder battles they don't really matter that much. Since launch we have been given a good arsenal of decent camo's though that I prefer over my default uniform. My favorites so far:
For Indar I prefer Arid Forest as it blends in perfectly with the Northern seabed desert. Works well in the canyons too: Esamir has very different daytime lightings that support different camo's. Default TR camo is not too bad actually but Esamir Ice is probably my favorite: For Amerish it has to be Amerish Leaf. Probably the only one that makes NC look decent: For night time I'm eagerly awaiting Black Crystalize camo. It's so cool that it probably has a good chance of becoming BRTD standard issue outfit camo: For now however, Loyal Soldier camo has to do for dark battles: So what's your favourite camo (post images) and do you find them proven effective at all? (besides Giraffe!) Last edited by Rolfski; 2013-06-06 at 03:05 PM. |

Almost the same as me. At least I think its Northern Forest that I use on Esamir. For both other continents I use Clover, except on Indar I set the Sunderer only to use Desert Scrub V2. Except I use these at all times, not just during the night or day.
Clover is the darkest that NC has (had) access to, except perhaps Loyal Soldier, but even if that's darker, it isn't dark enough, and is like putting a bullseye on me when roaming behind enemy lines. I don't like some of the Esamir camos because either they're too bright (Esamir Ice and a couple others), or they involve black next to bright colors. Unless you're herding with zebras, that isn't a good camo idea. In fact, I tend to avoid pure black in all the camos I buy. (Reason: http://www.greyops.net/2010/05/probl...lage-week.html ). That said, I'm looking forward to the black crystallize camo, I think its going to neutralize the Vanu night advantage, at least for those of us who get it. I'm going to make sure not to spend my last 1500 station cash for it. |

I have a full set of Rocky Tundra camo and use it for everything when I'm on Esamir.
When I'm not on Esamir, I rock my super purple Alpha Squad VS camo on everything. I don't really like the Alpha Squad camos for NC or TR, but I use it for most of my weapon and vehicle loadouts on VS.

Wow OP... That's basically my exact same setup. The only difference is I use Rocky Tundra (aka: Vanilla Chocolate Chip) for snow fighting. I need that black crystalized camo though. Please cancel out the Vanu night advantage. lol

The other bright one, Esamir Snow, is definitely too bright. I agree btw that Northern Forest is an overall excellent Esamir camo, especially later during the day. Rocky Tundra isn't too shabby either: |

I like Northern Forest on Esamir because it really helps when your in a shadow or shade or along a rocky outcrop..
Honestly none of the snow camo makes a significant difference if you are in the open in the light.
