I was the VS player in the first stream. The player who was focused on stream playing with AT and Vindicators. My name was "torililacwheels" lol!(don't know why they used weird names, but whatever).
Ironically, we where making planetside 2 look cool by actually participating in battles and so we where showcased on the stream a lot. That awesome showcase unfortunately meant we avoided too many point captures, thus our score was pretty bad at the end.
The other guys essentially ghost capped the entire event, but I don't blame them one bit, they played to the rules as they should have.
This competition was definitely not a skill based competition, the event was fun but in the end kind of a disappointment. Hopefully the rulesets of future events are better geared toward competitive play.
I have to say though:
The 12 v 12 community run competition on Hossin was a blast to watch. Hopefully that type of gameplay translates well to 48 vs 48 battles and we can see some cool MLG action.
