I think you have cerainly hit all the points on the head.
Optimisation is important for continued health of this game. We will not see gu15 anytime soon because apparently everyone that is left in the ps2 team is working on optimising. I havent seen a tv advertisement for planetside 2. So if they are advertising then I have some hope about the future pops of this game. |

The TV Ads here in the UK are going mental so hopefully this indicates a bright future and I sincerely hope that optimisation comes quickly because it will be a huge boon to player retention. Thanks for the feedback gents much appreciated.
Much Love, SnooPSton |

What you should be asking is how much they blew through their budget from that first cinematic video that showed nothing of what they game was or what you could do. I am still waiting for the day a light assault can shoot through a galaxy.

Lol... I was honestly expecting them to put a Nanite Ned POI somewhere on Indar back in beta. Apart from the BFR and perhaps the water inside the bio-dome, there isn't much "character" in the game. I almost always enjoyed the pop culture references and humor in WoW. Would have been nice to see some Planetside/PS2 inside jokes and community memories in PS2 (again, beyond the BFR) in some way. But yeah, every time I think of that Blur trailer for PS2 I have to wonder how many game boxes they could put on the shelves for that amount of cash. Though I still wish Smed followed through on my idea of getting Rooster Teeth to do a "Red vs. Blue... vs. Purple?" sketch for fain faire/soe live last year. That would have been hilarious (and likely way cheaper than the Blur video). |
