Question about bonus xp for killstreaks

I'm new to the game, I was wondering if kill streak continue after you leave a tank. I was in a vanguard and I got 12 kills. When I left the tank to continue on foot I killed two TR but noticed that my killstreak BONUS didn't come up. Was this a bug or something or do killstreaks you get when in a tank end when you exit them?

There is a killstreak bonus for killing infantry as infantry.
There is a killstreak bonus for killing tanks as a tank.
There is an armour superiority bonus for killing vehicles as a tank.
There is not a killstreak for killing infantry as a tank(that ive ever seen)

There is probably a kill streak, or some kind of bonus for killing tanks as infantry (but i've no clue what its called).

None of the stats are shared between vehicles and infantry.

So you were possibly part way through 2 different kill streaks rather than completing 1.

It would make sense to have seperate ones as getting a kill streak in a tank / aircraft is super easy while doing it on foot is VERY hard, would hardly be fair if drivers and pilots got the same kill streak exp for doing far less work.
