I think Smedley mentioned on Reddit that the tech test would be going on for about 1/2 weeks (give or take a few days/weeks because of unforeseen circumstances). As I'm from EU myself I will start getting some of my hopes up of getting a beta invite in about 2 weeks, might still be a little early. ^^

Someone said if you worked in IT you would understand why they don't give out release dates. It's so true too. Why do you think SOE was so hesitant to say anything about when they would have it ready.... Cause they can't determine exactly when (just a rough estimate) they are going to release... Even during the different stages/phases of beta testing they don't know for sure when the next phases will start. Hence the generic word "SOON" has been used. And I think they are using their words properly here.... It's summer people, go out and enjoy the summer sun!

I tried this new Civ-like game... Endless Space I think it's called. It's like a mix between Civ and Master of Orion.. pretty straight forward, not as complex, but a lot of fun actually... got it on Steam.

Wow, All this crazyness over a technical test, the test to see whether the beta test can start, but crazy as it is we're still just coasting off the E3 alpha hype. When the beta does go live and more people see Planetside 2 living up to the hype these forums are going to explode.

Look man, if you got time to bitch on game forums than you have time to do pretty much anything better, go do a couch to 5k, take up weightlifting or swimming or something , it's summer, just spend the next 2 weeks pretending planetside 2 doesn't exist.

I'm serious about that exercise advice , I saw those haircut pictures, some of you guys are so fat it's dangerous.

Looks like Monday is the earliest now. Just sit back and wait for an invite. If you didn't already I suggest just making a personal email for your SOE account. Use that email and make notifications on your desktop/laptop/phone or whatever you have, so you don't have to constantly check your email. That is what I did anyway to save myself time and not obsessing over this as much.
