Other than Planetside 1, which originally had region located hardware, what other FPS games does SOE host solely from a single geographic location? I am talking strictly about North American servers here.

No. Moscow (the one in Russia, not Idaho) is very far from Nevada.

As I pointed out, I get under 100 ping to pretty much everywhere (conus) from San Diego.

I think perhaps your biggest issue is that you need better internet. So instead of asking SOE to put servers closer to you, do some research on ISPs and find one that doesn't route your traffic through China.

You act like all areas have options for ISP, in many areas they have been bought out and there is only one ISP available.

No, I act like people allow their companies to foist off crap service on them all too often.

I had a friend who complained madly about his terrible internet. He had a DSL connection that was rated at 12MBPS. His speeds never got above 6 or 7, and he had intermittent disconnection issues. He raged for months with me telling him to call the company and not get off the phone until he had an answer, or a tech visit schedule.

He didn't do anything for a long time. Until one day he'd finally had enough and he took my advice. He ended up on a long service call and they ended up swapping out parts at the exchange.

After that day he got pretty much his full speed, and the disconnects were gone.

If someone is getting 170 ping to the coasts from the middle of the country there is something really wrong with their ISP's service in general or to them in specific. My suggestion stands: do some research into ISP options (most people have at least 2 decent options unless they're extremely rural, contrary to your statement) or get in touch with your provider and get them to fix your service.

(But, in general, the point is: just because your internet is crap doesn't mean companies should start placing their datacenters closer to YOU in specific.)
