Once you have the hack, those turrets don't shoot at anything.

And it is my understanding that creating vehicles does NOT drain NTUs.

There are 2 lines on page 14 of the manual explaining this. It's not exactly obvious that the self-reparation of the turrets will drain NTU and hence stop the hack.

You need at least a little in-game experience before you realise the consequences of ALL of your actions.

I may be new to this game, JakeLogan but I'm not an idiot.

MrV, I have a just TK. My little brother was playing PS. He had joined a squad, and gotten a Galaxy, and was ready to find some action.
His gal pilot, decided he was flying a reaver and did some fancy acrobatics. Sadly, a gal doesn't pull up as fast as a reaver, and they smashed into a tree. The galaxy exploded, destroying my bro's ride, and exasperated at the enormous wait time until another gal pilot could be found, just quit.
Later, I found the hotshot that smashed up the gal.
"This is for crashing that gal, flyboy."
In my AA Starfire MAX I blasted him until he died. Only 40 GP, not bad, and my bro was happy.
Justified? Yes.

That reminds me of what happened today except there were only four of us in the same squad (We won heheh) ok

Here goes:

I'm driving my Enforcer to ishunder to take a TR base that my squadmates were already at my guys were getting ripped apart by the phalanx turrrets so i take em out (We didn't have hack) 5 minutes until the hack was done turrets still repairing power goes out I say OMG and the leader quits. soon after the new leader promotes me then teammates come i invite them wait a while while i get ANT eventulaly cap it. took i think about 4 base hacks to do it! but when the base hack was successful we were in action just b4 u know

Searo,

I do not agree.

He crashed, he died as well.
You just shouldnt fly with him again, no reason to do that.

Not everyone is an ace piolit, no reason to TK a guy for a simple error in altitude, everyone crashes from time to time.

IE: I am a very good skeeter piolit, I was holding my own vs 2 reavers and a skeeter, pulled a fast turn, and slamed into a cliff i didnt see until after I hit it. The 1st crash I have had since beta ended. It happens to all of us. Its not like he did it on purpose.

Tking can get out of hand very fast, and can ruin the game rather fast for many people. Its just not worth it. The game is big enough that if you dont want to deal with someone, you dont have to.

Sorry, Searo. Accidents don't count. Sure, it was stupid. Sure, you're brother died. He was alive again in seconds. Big deal. It was an miscalculation, deal with it (in a different way).

So the needs of the many do not out weigh the need of the few...

The few retards that need to blow up stuff after hack vs. the many trying to preserve the hack.

If you got a flesh eating disease on your hand do you not cut it off? Or do you let it contunue eating away at your flesh?

Besides all that. Nobody likes being told shit. They don't like being told what to do. And many many times reasoning with ppl is totally fruitless. The way i see it in the case of a gen killer. It's like a hand on the stove method of learning. For some reason everytime i put my hand on the stove when its on i get burned. But when it's not on i don't get burned... Same thing with the gen killer. Everytime i gen kill after the base is hacked i get TKed... i wonder why that is? Hmmmm??? maybe i shouldn't gen kill after the hack.

In hopes of trying to preserve NTUs i like to make sure theres an AMS in the courtyard. Spawning there doesn't cost anything.

Repair is a big help too. Even though you know the base is repairing itself. It costs the bases NTU to do so. But going out with a nano soaker and doing it manually costs only what you are carrying.

As for base turrets... they dont function under hack. When they do a jammer will turn it right off. You all can say "There's Stream with the jammer again..." But the fact of the matter is jammers are 1 of the most under used weapons in the game. The more +br12s that didn't already get darlight have audio amp or even surge.

Ever been owned by a surge ninja? IMO there is no reason not to jam someone you suspect or could potentially use an implant to give themselves an advantage against you or anybody. I've jammed snipers just cuz i'm guessing that they might be use range mag. Is it posible i just saved someone ass? If the sniper can no longer see his target. Or i'm assuming his zoom reverted back to default... Well if he's at maximun range already then he's got nothing to do now except run from me or show some backbone.

The number of combat engis is rising all the time. Entire bases SOIs are literally covered on deployables. Sure the jammer can't destroy a base turret. But it definately can turn it off long enough to blow without being hosed by it.

Searo, that wasnt even close to justified.

But i still dont agree with MrV. I normally do, but i think im infulenced by the pointy ears.

I have spent way to much time telling people why they shouldnt destroy anything after the hack. Ive now found that warning shots work quite well, especially if they are from a lancer or thumper. And, should stupidity persist, both weapons end it very quickly.

Hell, the other night i went strait to the generator and planted looking at the door(i play TR on Markov). Anyone that shot the generator died, quickly.

Be for warned. If im in the base, and the base has been hacked, and your killing shit, ill be killing you. This is the only warning.

For the third time, I'm talking about when you have a hack on an enemy base. The towers don't shoot at that point.
