Best AA MAX

I voted Burster, sparrow is probably the best AA, but the burster Flak is brutal to infantry at range, great for flushing people out of cover.

the only thing i hate about NC is that their weapons work against just about anything.



still i lik the tr aamax, cause like all the other trmaxs, u could lock urself into the ground and scare the shit outa everybody. then all u hear/feel is flak comin from 2 fat ass arms.

I play a sparrow as my only MAX mainly because without it the NC have kinda weak AA overall.

So here's some tips to other faction pilots (just because I'm nice!)

1) You are flying towards a base you know to be held by the NC... don't hover... anywhere. The big secret, and what most people don't understand, is I've not found a range that the sparrow can't get a lock at. I love when a reaver is 200 yards out and stops to hover. It takes about 4-5 seconds to lock him up, but I'm sending missles that entire time and once I get that lock he's toast... so don't stand still!

2) Don't hover 10 feet off my nose, and think you can win a duel! It takes about a second to lock at shorter ranges, and even if my opening slavo doesn't kill you you can't get away fast enough to stop it... so don't hover!!!! AGAIN!

3) You get a missle lock warning, but figure you can send that last volley of rockets down before bugging out... DON'T Remember by the time lock is one 4 missles are on the way, and the 4 more that will kill you are close behind, if you wait you will die.

4) When you get locked go low, go fast, and take some turns. Had a reaver once yell at me for cheating because he flew straight away from me through some trees guess he thought the tree's should jump in the way of my missles!

And always remember... the Sparrow is the Absolute GAWD of AA MAX (at least in my opinion) But it SUCKS against anything that is not aircraft. Slow projectiles, and low anything else dammage make it a chore to use anywhere else.

Well i am VS so i cant say much for that max but i hear its garbage. I've seen one thred in here saying it owned you just gotta know how to use it correctly. He may be right. I'll never know.

Flying reavers against both TR and NC i think i have to give it to the TR. I've had reavers totally vaporized with no kind of reaction posible. Vs NC its more of a game of tag. I fly in too close, hear missle tone, hit the burner and maybe get out with half a reaver. Or at the very least a split second to bailout. Vs TR bailing does not work for once you leave the confines of your craft and expose yourself to the elements, namely flak. It's all over but the scream.

I voted VS because that thing just scares me. I don't know why. I know it shouldn't but for some reason those projectiles always managed to freak me out when I was flying a mosquito. TR is a close second though. Going slow to scan for baddies and being lit up like a christmas tree outta nowhere kinda makes you jumpy, but by the time you jump you're usually dead

I use the NC MAX and yes it is very nice. Our AV weapons blows chunks against air targets due to it's low manuverability, at least imo. I got the phoenix for AA, dropped it like a bad habit praying the Sparrow worked better and happily it does.

sparrow = fire and forget
burster = never used it, rarely ever see it because its ineffective against inf/vehicles
starfire = projectiles too slow, small clip, plasma dmg doesnt "stack", therefore its nearly worthless.

of course you never see the burster. who in their right mind would limit themself to a MAX when the striker does the job of AA/AV and even A-MAX so well?

cause i like flak and now that the skygaurd is out an we cant hack vterms without the advanc haxing, screw that get skygaurd, loose aa max.......o wait, now i got 3 certs......k, av max.
