Chapter 5: Carpet Bombing
Nina looked down. Her Liberator, along with several of her comrades in the 334th Guards Bomber Regiment, happened to be flying over the huge hotspot forming on the map. They were the sole NCs in the area. She was leading the outfit. She sat nervously in the bombardier's seat, not being able to fend off enemy Mosquitoes. Kasparov came in over radio. He led a few Mosquitoes flying ahead. "Nothing. If you want to bomb the area, you have my authorization, Comrade Nina." he said in Russian. "Copy that. All bombers, readjust to saturation bombing formation. It's time to rake in the experience." she screamed over radio. The bombers banked away from the battle. A few kilometers away, they organized and turned around, headed for battle once more. Boris was flying Nina's Liberator. "No ground fire. They're fighting too hard to look up!" he said. ~On the ground~ Heavygain was emptying his MAX guns into the purple figures. He, too, stood on the walls of the base. The muzzle flash lit up the snow. Tracer rounds, from his and other guns, would make the place beautiful if it wasn't deadly, he thought. He happened to have Bursters. A bunch of Vanu were taking cover behind a Harasser. They were slowly advancing. One held a Striker, and was aiming at him. A captured Striker. There was a blast, and a missile came screaming at him. He couldn't dodge it. It hit him squarely in the chest. Thankfully, his MAX armor absorbed the worst of the damage. He turned his bursters to the area behind the Harasser. As he fired, each shell exploded before it hit the ground, saturating the air with shrapnel. There were screams, and they were all dead. "Nailed! One, two, three, four Barneys! That'll..." He paused. He thought it was a flock of birds at first. However, it turned out to be bombs! Everywhere! There had to be at least a dozen bombers! Twelve bombs each....Jesus. Over 144 bombs! They all headed straight for the battlefield. Then they exploded over it. Cluster bombs! Anti-personnel! He un-spiked his MAX and jumped off of the wall. He sprinted, full speed, for the area under a bridge. He barely made it. It seemed as if they all exploded as one. The explosion was long and bass-heavy. Snow went flying. His helmet was covered in white. A bomblet fell near. He was knocked over. And as suddenly as it came, it was over. People were dead everywhere. He just hoped that there were as many dead Vanu as Terran. Then the power went out. To conserve power, they were cycling it. No power for 15 minutes. No respawns...they would have to fight harder than ever.

Chapter 6: Breakout
Manitou gazed over the new terrain. There were hundreds of craters. Vanu were dead everywhere. Most of the Terrans had made it out of the way. Most of the Vanu were not so lucky. He came in over radio. "All troops. This has been the stroke of luck we've been waiting for. Everyone, move out and destroy any AMSes left standing." They had been fighting for hours. All sense of organization was lost. They fought more like a mob than an outfit. Sentrosi led a mob. Behind him he could make out Ouroboros, Incompetent, and a few others, but that was it. They charged across the field, stunning any remaining Vanu. They found an AMS. Sentrosi pulled out his Decimator and unloaded it into the AMS'es rear section. Splash damage hurt the surrounding enemies. Under the hail of fire, the AMS exploded, killing all the Vanu around it. Chunks of metal went flying. Manitou left the power on instead of conserving it. The end of the battle was near. By now, they were at just 5% power. Within perhaps three minutes, the enemy AMSes were destroyed. All seven of them. Most of the other vehicles fell in the charge. A few straggling Magriders remained. Ouro boros nailed one with his Striker. The explosion was the last. It echoed. And as suddenly as the attack occured, it was over.

Epilogue: The White Silence
"It really is ironic. We owe this to those NewCon bombers. They came out of nowhere." Manitou muttered this to a platoon leader. Minutes after the battle, Prowlers, Reavers, and other vehicles had come from other bases, grouped up, and set off determined to break the siege. "You owe it to yourselves. You held off at least five enemy outfits for...let me see...twenty hours. You've been fighting all day. Get some rest." the platoon leader said. "Just goes to show that no zerg can defeat the Dragonwolves." They gazed over the battlefield. The tanks were silent. The two were walking a few hundred meters from the base. Over there, they were celebrating. But on the battlefield, among the shell holes and broken vehicles, it was silent. Eeriely silent.
