Okay. Their stupidity has nothing to do with their contribution. As a matter of fact, alot of people come up with good ideas and have very valid points to make in arguments. Yet in the context of this thread, what I said was accurate. When a large number of people accuse the SOE devs of not focusing on pressing issues because they are designing christmas hats, I call stupidity. They have no idea how a company is structured, they have little idea about the IT industry in large scale software production companies, yet they are still an expert on it. I have witnessed the same thing as the original poster.

These are the same people who know how a graphics engine works and throw around terms like "occlusion detecion", "intellisampling" and "blitting" when telling us why PS has bad FPS even on the lowest possible graphics settings in massive battles.

A stupid person is someone who acts as an authority about something which they know fuck all about.

First, I was not using a condescending tone. I was simply reacting to you acalling this community a bunch of idiots. Silly me. What was I thinking? Secondly, however, you do make good points about attempting to be an uninformed authority. This is a trait many, if not most, human beings share (Oops, just did it ). I will respect you, as long as you respect me. If you do not want to piss me off, then do not insult me. Simple as that .

Conviently, a large portion of the community are idiots. Nothing pisses me off more than a thread such as my example below (and it's something I am making up but we have seen time and time again.)

Thats right, people bitching about the game, about the devs and timeframe. The people bitching couldn't write code to save their lives. They can't even write english properly.

Even though this is an unfair generalization, it would still be fairly accurate to say that there are two primary groups of PS players: The more informed, polite, and skilled players, and the 1337 hax0r n00b5. Unfortunately for the overall health of the community, the majority of all players are 1337 hax0r n00b5. This leads to a superfluity in n00bish, uninformed, and generally un-grammatical posts.
