No surge with a weapon drawn would work for me. A lot of people have posted/voted in polls saying that would be the best solution, so I don't know why SOE is still sitting there trying to cook up new "outside the box" solutions to something that should be fixed already.

I too agree with the no surge, no weapon. Seems like the best solution.
As for the proposed changes, I strongly disagree with the sniper changes, and that's because I'm a sniper myself. For one, sniping and the Bolt Driver is probably the one part of the game that the majority of players don't have problems with, so that's at least some sort of testament to the fact. The BD is very powerful, and I think the tracers and hit locations are necessary to balance it out. Besides, experienced snipers are difficult enough to find and hit as it is; if you're sniping from atop a hill or mountain, of course it's going to be easy for people to spot you because you're sitting on the most obvious and dangerous sniping spot. Learning the appropriate and less obvious sniping nests is a skill I think should remain in the game. Additionally, I think most of us are worried enough about snipers as it is, and these changes would make it far, far worse. Other than that, I agree with some of your ideas and disagree with others, but I figure that this was the most important one.

As far as 9 goes, why don't they just allow you to respawn at ANY available respawn point on the cont? Save binding for returning to the previous cont (to get a gal or that tank when you cant get it local).
