I guess markov was right all along, screw strategy and tactics, lets just have never ending 3-way battles.
/endrant I guess I'm just bitter that after developing a working strategy for the old pop-cap system that emphasized defense and forced two empire fights, the dev team decides to piss in my wheaties by forcing 3 empire fights and goddamn stalemates. |

I kind of like the new pop system. I do know the nc are going to have it ruff on Emerald due to the TR VS alliance. I have seen them fight along side each other on cyssor. I do like it because if you can get peeps to stick around long enough it also makes defence a little more of a fighting chance. Not much more but a little more. Also it doesn't get all one sided for the empire that gets to the cont last. It spreads out the enemy more and keeps the zerg down some, not to much but some.

There is no TR VS alliance. Get over that thought. I hear VS saying, "Why are the NC and TR working togeather OMG#@Y*%$#@Y#@," while we're working on Cyssor. It's just people being myopic. If you actually watch the continent map you see that while the TR and VS press on Gunuku at the same time as we so commonly do, the VS are sweeping the southwest because the TR rarely pay attention to that area of the map in this situation.
As for the topic at hand, I do hope real tactics evolve, because as it sands now, we end up with massive, neverending stalemates that are neither entertaining nor productive.
