The Next GTA

Bah, they've already made GTA: San Andreas. Remember? It was one of the cities you could explore in one of the first GTA. Same with Liberty City and Vice City, they're just recreating them in 3D.

First, duh. Anyone who has played the GTA games from the begginning, and a fair number of people who didn't, already knew where the thrid one would take place as soon as Vice City came out.

Second, not quite. VC took place in the early 80s which it didn't in the original. If this one takes place in the Vietnam era (no idea if it does, haven't really paid attention to it) then again, this would be different.

And actually I kina agree with Vic. My PS2 is over 2 years old, has been smoked around too much and has issues playing anything. So unless I get a new one, I've learned that spending $50 on a game is more frustration then it's worth.

I just rememberd something. Someone once told me if you have a first gen machine you could send it in to replace it, any truth to that?

My friend did that. Took a couple weeks, but he got it back and it was good as new.

Hmm.....

I guess I should probably do some research and look into it. Honestly, if PS2s were dow to $100, i'd probably just go buy one. Hard to justify $180 for a new one though

I'd wish for a Depression-era GTA... it wouldn't even have to be in America.
Imagine being in Germany in 1932 just before Hitler came into power... that'd be awesome!

erm... That kinda kills the whole "Auto" thing, cars back then went about... 5 miles an hour

Damn right, much more compelling than the GTA games, and some nice little touches (speed limiter for lazy gits like me, the fact that you can't steal a car if you don't know how to)

Give it a go (PC Version), it's cheap nowadays.

I want it... but I hate my PS2... 3 times I've fixed the thing (voiding anything that remained of the warrenty) and it still breaks into the "Disk Read Error" problem after about 3 months... plus what it costs to have the reader replaced isn't worth it... better off buying a new PS2.

What we need is a game where you shoot Nazis, beat up Commie Pinkos, and steal cars. GTA'd be perfect for it.
