I will admit, the millenium falcon thing where you can man a turrent is pretty neat, but nothing I would pay money for.

Of course, I feel the same way about vanilla swg, and even eve for that matter in general (no content) so, i expect people to defend all of this.

Its just not anything im interested it.

Give me a dedicated MMOFPS of star wars, and im there. Reavers = xwing, jh noobs = laser blasters, ect.

...for that matter, I would prefer a starcraft mmofps ^_^

The objective will not just be 'fly around and shoot random shit'. The videos you saw were only demos of how the starships work and interact. Actual gameplay will involve complex missions to advance pilot skill.

And Z-95s aren't rebel, they were used by the rebels as they were cheap and easy to get, because they're civilian fighters
