Half of me is lolling (emotional center) at the Darwin pics, etc, while the logical center is like "Tell the fuckers that it's due to shitty governments".
Africa: The only continent whose GDP is less than it's amount of AK-47s.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. Last edited by AztecWarrior; 2004-08-04 at 12:59 AM. |

It's true: military dictators arm militias with AKs, the hell with the rest of the people. I saw a program where this British guy was exploring the "Extremes of heat" in some desert. There was a bunch of kids, maybe 16, who were "warriors". They looked starving, but had AKs with folding stocks.

The AK-74 emulates the USA's usage of the new .223 caliber round. The 74 is similar to an AK-47/AKM but has a 5.45mm round.
The folding version is the AK-47S (or AKMS/AK-74S).

1: I almost own one. My dad got me (the best birthday present ever) a SAR-1, which is a semi-auto AK. I also have a low mount for an Aimpoint red-dot sight and several hi-cap magaines, including the 75-round drum. It's "mine" in the sense that I get to fire it, clean it, and all. When I leave the home, it goes with me. I.E. he owns it, for now.
2. Unless you live in California (Home of the Governator calling the rest of the state's politicians "girly men"), then you can own a semi-auto one. (You may have to have some odd features, such as a one-piece buttstock and pistol grip assembly). A full-auto one requires a Class III license. My dad has one California is just fucked up. You can't have, like, anything that shoots over there. Dumbass poli....girly men run the laws o'er there.
