Yeah I noticed there was a lot of activity on Public Test Server, and not enough targets on Emerald. Shame, I was hoping maybe they'd get around to cowboying up and finally taking the TR Challenge. Red/black for teh w1n!!!11!11on1e! |

I give it 1/2 out of 5.
Be warned, this movie is 45 minutes long. Yes, Fourty-Five minutes. What is good about the movie is that it definitely captures some good coordinated attacks with Air, vehicle and infantry. It also carries you along on a story for the first half of the movie. Ok scriptwriting, good use of vocal switches between characters. This sometimes is not conveyed well over people making movies in games, this was done good. What is bad about the movie is that it is 45 minutes long, very choppy and repetitive at times. I wanted to stab my eyes out when I kept seeing drop after drop after drop on bases or Vanguards rolling or Reaver and Lib spam or...well, you get the picture. I feel that you could have probably let go of about 30 minutes of, what I call, useless film, and concentrate on actual battles you've been in. The first 10 minutes were great, a good lead up story to what you are today, but the last 34 minutes were mind numbing. Most redeeming moment in the movie is the last minute. Had me laughing my butt off, cause I'm a huge Office Space fan. So, if you've got the bandwidth available, and want to be a SG, download the video and view it. If you have no interest in it, I wouldn't bother. Now Richard, back to you...

Well, I felt the exact same way as Sentrosi. It's long, and mind numbing. But some very nice shots in there. Voices of the characters were really good.

...I can't hate this.
But, 2 things. It's the Terran Republic, not empire. The part where it looks sickeningly like a recruitment video kinda cheesed it. That being the point, though, I can't really complain. Great writing, excellent cinematography. Good job guys.

Strumgrenadier = Failures
At extinction, you guys tried to hot drop over mithra base, a fuckin bio lab when the gen is on the roof. And you guys failed 10 times. You succeeded when the other NC's pushed the VS down to spawn tubes and ya guys were there alone. You even had 2-3 galaxy drops. Shame on you guys. Get a better players than okay. |

The only part of the movie I didn't like was the illogical mishmashing of TR scenes. You never explained their being there. And when you got to the "last Stand of resistance" scenes where the NC were pushing out the last of their enemies, you lumped VS and TR fight scenes together. Guaranteed if the TR and VS were in one base we'd claw each other to death, and God help the NC if they got in the way.
And the sniper scene at the beginning didn't really make much sence. Just some totally random sniper... |

Overall the video was pretty well done.
Good points Voice Acting Music (mainstream music always sounds better) End credits (really funny in parts) Bad points Camera work seemed rushed (re-takes are your friend) For a 45 min movie the story was a little hard to follow. How long did the total production take you to complete? |

We appreciate the kind words the credit for the movie goes to two Sturmgrenadier members who are Tostev, and Pympicus.
A lot went into making the movie, they did an outstanding job and spent many painstaking hours working on it. Sturmgreandier is all about teamwork, and these two personify the word teamwork. Thanks again for the kind words, drop by our message boards and leave a message for ToStev and Pymp on our public forum. Cheers,
