I like XP...once I screwed around with it to make it stop eating so much RAM it ran pretty well. I've had my PC for about...I guess 6 or 7 months now, and it hasn't crashed once.

Yea I haven't had any problems with XP at all.... I crash VERY rarely. I haven't crashed on my new computer yet, but on my old computer with XP when I crashed, whcih was also rarely, if I was typing something it would save on its own and become a "recovered" document when I started the comp up again. Not sure about other applications where saving is involved because I never crashed in them. Don't Know whether these situations are part of the source of problems, due to my fairly limited knowledge of computers, I'm just making a guess due to observation =).
I think that one of the main reasons that I don't run into any problems with XP is that I don't try to overclock my system, I got a premade system, and I always keep extra room on my HD. In other words I don't mess with my computer =\. Also I clean up my computer once in a while deleting anything that I don't need. I think that this cleaning up process is the most important. If you haven't cleaned up in a long time sometimes it's just best to reformat. |
