I am curious if the operator can be killed without destroying the turret...

Would be cool if there is some kind of variation in the look of the turret depending on which empire puts it down! Even if it's just the color.

That's what I was thinking...Maybe further down the turret's cert tree you can put shields and whatnot on it. Otherwise you're worm food.

The gun looks cool, but the tripod definitely is of a type that is not fit for for the job. Too small of a footprint, it would not work outdoors with wind, uneven ground, such a heavy thing on top that is moveable and produces recoil. It either needs a larger footprint, or some sort of spikes/ground nails that attach it to the ground to look more believable.

Love the look, I wonder if a infiltrator will be able to whack the gunner and take control of the gun himself...could make for some interesting moments at a spawn point.

In a perfect world I think everyone on these forums would prefer different turrets for each empire. I am sure this is something the Devs have considered and I would actually be amazed if it didn't make it into the game at some time, if not possibly at launch.
